Bandhgala & Indo-Western

Achin Bindlish bandhgalas and Indo-Western jackets are hand-embroidered and made to order. The bandhgalas are structured, closed-collar jackets — one blanketed in multi-coloured threadwork, one in fractured geometric sequins, one in a silver-on-black waterfall pattern. The Indo-Western pieces are long, open-front jackets, sometimes called an open sherwani or achkan, worked in dense aari floral embroidery, hand-couched geometric dori, or black sequins and gunmetal beads at the shoulders and collar.

Pieces are designed for grooms and for formal wedding and festive celebrations. Every piece is finished by hand, so embroidery and colour vary slightly from one to the next.
