What we collect
When you place an order: your name, billing and delivery address, email, telephone number, and the details of what you bought. Payment is handled by our payment provider and we do not see or store your card details.
When you order a piece cut to your measurements: the body measurements you give us, or those we take at a fitting.
When you enquire: your name, email, telephone number, the piece you asked about, and anything you tell us about the occasion.
When you write to us on WhatsApp: your telephone number, your WhatsApp profile name, and the contents of the conversation.
When you subscribe: your email address.
When you browse: your IP address, browser, device, pages visited and how you arrived. Collected through cookies and analytics.
Your measurements
We treat measurements as private. They are held so we can cut your piece, alter it later, and make you something else without measuring you again.
They are seen only by the people making your garment. We do not use them for anything else, and we do not share them.
You can ask us to delete them at any time. Say so and we will, though it means measuring again for a future order.
Why we hold what we hold
To take, make and deliver your order, and to speak to you about it.
To answer enquiries and give quotations.
To meet our obligations under Indian tax and company law.
To send you the atelier letter, if you asked for it.
To understand how the site is used, so we can improve it.
Who else sees it
Shopify, which runs this store and holds order data.
Our payment provider, which processes payment.
Courier partners, who receive your name, address and telephone number so they can deliver.
WhatsApp, owned by Meta, if you choose to write to us there. Those conversations are subject to WhatsApp's own privacy terms as well as this one.
Google Analytics, for site usage.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
Cookies
The site uses cookies to keep your cart, to remember preferences, and to measure traffic. You can block them in your browser, though parts of the site will stop working properly.
How long we keep it
Order records: eight years, as Indian tax law requires.
Measurements: until you ask us to delete them.
Enquiries that did not become orders: two years.
Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct anything wrong, delete what we are not required to keep, or stop sending you the atelier letter.
Write to hello@achinbindlish.com. We reply within 30 days.
Some records we cannot delete while tax law requires us to keep them. We will tell you if that applies.
Security
Data is held on Shopify's servers. The site runs over an encrypted connection. Measurements and order details are accessible only to people who need them to do their work.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects you, we will tell you.
Children
The site is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy. The version on the site is the current one.
